4 Topics in my Mental Stew

Privacy, erasure, humility, and the zeitgeist

Mid-month my mind is a stew of topics — the kinds of stories that will find their way into my fiction one way or another. But I couldn’t write a coherent piece about any one of them, not yet — they need to be watered and spoken to like house-plants.

Here are my thoughts and suggestions for further reading about: 1) the fall-out from the hit Netflix series Baby Reindeer, 2) Australia’s latest and ongoing book-banning incidents, 3) the author Ann Patchett on looking back at old work, and 4) other (faster) writers writing about the thing I’m writing about.
