Thanks for making my Thursday a bit brighter :) I have a SVH and Sweet Dreams essay in my PhD. Likewise obsessed. I didn't know that about the cover art - fascinating. I think the actress who Jessica/Elizabeth was based on was in a bad 80s movie with Eric Stolz and never seen again.
Thanks Simmone! I can well imagine how you'd write about SVH / Sweet Dreams and I want that as much as I want a hot dog heaped with chilli and a double-decker mocha almond chip! I also got to thinking about A&U's Girlfriend Fiction series, which so many great Oz YA writers wrote for (did you?). But so much of the draw of SVH was "the world" - all the foreshadowing and connections, Pascal's story-brain kept going and going and going.
